Australia has the highest per capita number of extinct and threatened species in the world in recent mammal extinctions.
Half of Australia’s marsupials and 30% of our native rodents have become extinct.
Some animals can be found in less than 1% of the area occupied 220 years ago.

My name is Jill and the reason I am doing this web site is to hopefully help our wonderful wildlife. I have been caring for many years and now do it with the help of my son. Without his help I could not continue.
It has become a full time job for me. I would like to offer some help from myself and other carers about different problems or just stories like Judy's little pretty face wallaby. Hopefully people will see through this site how wonderful and unique our wildlife is and how much help they need. We are slaughtering our beautiful kangaroos and leaving their joeys to die on their own or be bashed on the head by a shooter. These animals have the most beautiful family structure. They kiss, cuddle and and do just about all the things human children do with their mothers and family. The Eastern Grey Joey is totally reliant on its mother (no s) till at least 18 months of age. I will try and update the Blog weekly to make it interesting and helpful.
